Quiet calm pattern of a Blue heron hunting the waters of a mountain lake. Spirit animal totem water bird reflected in the still water. Gorgeous piece for Heron totem wall art, shoulder bag, accent pillow or a jacket back patch. This pattern makes a wonderful relaxing project for yourself or for the avid cross stitcher in your life. This piece looks great on 18 count Aida cloth however if you are in need of a different version it can be stitched on 14-32 count. The image uses 69 colors for a nice blend from light to shadow.

I strive to have the most realistic representation of the original art as I can. I choose to use dithering in my patterns in order to get a smoother transition of color and a high color count so that the pattern is true to the image. I retain the tiny splashes of color that define an edge, keeps the shine on the bubble and the expression in the eyes. Because of this there is confetti and satellite stitches. It makes for a very challenging, time consuming project. However; in my opinion the cost in time and care is worth the end result and the pride I feel when I display or gift the finished piece. That being said, please be aware and take into account this info before taking on the challenge of my advanced pieces and have fun stitching. :)
